On rear-wheel-drive cars, there are two main seals - one at the front, and one at the rear. Both are easy to diagnose; a leaking main seal at the front of the transmission isn’t visible, but the fluid will leak into the bell housing, and you’ll notice fluid dripping from between the engine and transmission.
