Jim Greene's automotive career started after graduation from the 2-year automotive technology program at St Augustine Technical Center in 1975 when he went to work at the local Ford Dealership. After many years of hard work, dedication, and training, Jim achieved his Master Technician Certification from Ford Motor Co. Ford's highest recognition for technicians, as well as dedication and leadership awards from Ford and Achieved Master Technician status from the Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, also known as ASE, a voluntary testing and certification organization for automotive technicians.

In 2000, he recognized the push for profits at the dealership level was creating a need for more independent auto repair shops. So in 2003, opened A-Ford-Able Automotive Services to fill that need realizing what customers really wanted most was someone they could trust.
